THIS IS AN IMPORTANT INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE FOR MARCH 16, 2026
Due to the anticipated inclement weather, Spotsylvania County Public Schools will be closed with asynchronous remote learning for students on Monday, March 16, 2026. 12-month employees report on time. All school and non-school activities, day and evening, are canceled.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION
SCPS will be providing meal bags at Chancellor High School from 10 a.m. to Noon on Monday, March 16th. All SCPS Students are eligible to receive one meal bag. It is not necessary for your child to be with you at the food distribution site; however, you will need to know your child's student ID or lunch number to pick up the meal bag.

UPDATE: IMPORTANT 2025-2026 INSTRUCTIONAL CALENDAR CHANGE
At the School Board Meeting on March 9, 2026, the School Board voted to add April 21, 2026, as a Teacher Work Day/Student Holiday due to the special election announcement on March 2, 2026. As a reminder, many of our schools are used as polling sites. The School Board made no other changes to the 2025-2026 Instructional Calendar. Friday, March 13, 2026, remains a Teacher Professional Learning Day/Student Holiday and the grading period remains unchanged.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2026

Spotsylvania County Public Schools will open two hours late on Monday, February 23, 2026. No AM ECSE preschool classes, PM classes will begin on time. 12-month employees report to work on time. We are continuing to monitor conditions and will reassess in the morning.

All Spotsylvania County Public Schools will open on time on Monday , February 9, 2026.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE FOR FEBRUARY 6, 2026 - All Spotsylvania County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday, February 6, 2026. No AM ECSE preschool classes, PM classes will begin on time. 12-month employees and essential employees report to work on time. All other employees report two hours late.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE FOR 2/4/26
All Spotsylvania County Public Schools will open two hours late on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. No AM ECSE preschool classes, PM classes will begin on time. 12-month employees and essential employees report to work on time. All other employees report two hours late. We are monitoring the weather and will reassess conditions in the morning. Additionally, we encourage parents and guardians to stay with students at bus stops until the bus arrives. Inclement weather notice for 2/2/26 & 2/3/26
All Spotsylvania County Public Schools will be Code 3 on Monday, February 2 and Tuesday, February 3 , 2026. Code 3 is a remote learning day for students. 12-month employees report on time. Please see your email for more details.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 30 & WEEKEND
All Spotsylvania County Public Schools are closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. 12-Month Employees are Code 2 - report 2 hours late as safety permits. Essential personnel and food services staff will report at specified times. All school and non-school activities including student externships are canceled for January 30, 31, and February 1, 2026.
