On August 25, 2022, the Spotsylvania County School Board voted to submit Mr. Mark Taylor for Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) approval to be the Superintendent of Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
The VDOE will meet on September 15, 2022, to review candidates for Superintendents. If approved, the Spotsylvania County School Board will be able to vote on a contract at an upcoming School Board meeting and the new Superintendent will be officially announced.
