Homecoming dance tickets are sold out and we're sorry to say some students had to be turned away from purchase. We have capacity for 500 students and it is a first come, first served process. Tickets were sold starting 10/16.

We have a new traffic pattern starting Monday, October 16 for student drop-off. We're opening the Horseshoe loop for drop off, but only a right turn onto Chancellor Park Drive. Please see the image - and more detail will be in the Community Update.

Our second quarter gets underway today! Thank you, Chargers, for a great first quarter with over 72% of our students in Good Standing and our chronic absentee rate just under 20%. We can always improve and we look forward to what we can accomplish together this quarter.
Today we held the ribbon cutting for our Library/Media Center's Story Studio! Our incredible librarians received a grant for materials & tools for students to create videos and animations. We're looking forward to seeing our students' creations!

Both our Symphonic Orchestra and our Concert Orchestra earned Superior ratings at the VBODA Music Assessment late last week. Our tradition of excellence continues!
Congratulations to our FBLA members earning awards at the Germanna Region FBLA Skills Competition: Abe Kasseman- 1st place in both Computer Problem Solving AND Cyber Security; Emmily Castaneda-1st place in Insurance and Risk Management; Zoe Pena Palma-3rd place in Introduction to Business Concepts; and
Sarai Jackson- 3rd place in Organizational Leadership.
Our Girls Basketball Chargers are travelling to Matoaca High School this afternoon to play in the regional semi-final tournament. Go Chargers!
Chancellor's Forensic Team earned a Regional Championship this past weekend! Eleven of our students will advance to the Super-Regionals on March 4. Congratulations to our team and coaches!
Chancellor has a STATE CHAMPION! Kyle Peck earned the title of State Champ this weekend in the 100 meter backstroke and he also set a VHSL record in the process.

SCPS Health Services department has formed a partnership with the Rappahannock Area Health Department to provide an opportunity for families to obtain required immunizations for their students going into 12th grade in the 2023-2024 school year.
Immunizations are administered by health department nurses and will be held during the school day from 8:30am-2pm at Chancellor High March 27th & 28th.
A signed consent form is required - students may pick up that form from their teacher.

GRADUATION INFORMATION -- All 2023 high school graduations will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 8:00 a.m.
This is an inclement weather update. All Spotsylvania County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, December 15. Schools will open two hours late. 12-month employees and essential employees are to report to work on time as safety permits. All other employees will report two hours late.
