Twenty-five of our Choral Chargers and one alternate were selected for District Chorus on Saturday at Stafford High School! We also had 4 students who placed in the top 3 in their section.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of the fall one act play, Where Words Once Were! Chancellor placed First at Region 4B North. Chancellor Theatre won first place and they received a Superior rating from all 4 judges. Daniel Kilmartin won Best Performer at the Festival. Ava Sherwood and Brittany Montgomery won Honorable Mention for Best Performance.
Our field hockey team finished second in the region and qualified for the state tournament! Our Lady Chargers will travel to Loudoun Valley High School on Tuesday for first round competition. GO Chargers!

Our Field Hockey Team defeated Western Albemarle last night in the regional semi-finals and will travel to Courtland for the regional championship Thursday night at 6:00. Go Chargers!

Ms. Berkes was named Chancellor High School Teacher of the Year today. She teaches biological sciences, is our science department chair, coaches field hockey, and is an amazing positive force in our school.
Chancellor outdoor after school and evening events are cancelled this evening, including practices and the JV football game. The orchestra concert will continue as planned.
Congratulations to the Lightning Regiment Marching Band on the Superior rating they earned on Saturday - that's the top rating!
Congratulations to the Charger JV Field Hockey Team! They boast a perfect season record of 13 wins, 0 loses and 2 ties. They are the JV Field Hockey District Champions. GO CHARGERS!
On October 10, 2022, the School Board voted to extend Fall Break to include Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22. This means students and staff will have the entire week of November 21-25 off, and will return to class on Monday, November 28.
Because of the added Student/Teacher holiday, this means that the number of Inclement Weather Days will be reduced by two. Days 1-7 will not be made up.
Congratulations to the Lightning Regiment Marching Band on two successful competitions this past weekend. At the Hanover Hawks Invitational the band won best music, best visual, best general effect, best color guard, best percussion, first place in their class, and overall grand champions, meaning they were the highest scoring band of the entire day. At the Stafford Invitational the band won best music, best visual, best general effect, first place in their class, first place in their division, and overall grand champions. Way to go Lightning Regiment Marching Band!
Our September Teacher of the Month is Ms. Jackie Berkes - "She is making sure all classes are flowing in the Science department..." and "She is always willing to help with anything thrown at her. She is a rock star!!!

Congratulations to Ethan Wilson! At the Battlefield District tournament today, Ethan finished in 6th place - out of 45 - on the Mattaponi Springs Golf Club course. Please congratulate Ethan for a wonderful tournament finish.
