To meet the state standard, fewer than 15% of our students may be chronically absent. Last year, we ended the year with 25.56% of our students chronically absent - we need to drop that to 14.9 or better.

We're thrilled to have our PTO ready to go to work for our students, teachers, and school! On Tuesday, the PTO organized food and snacks for our teachers and they were also present for our Back to School Evening. Teachers and parents told me that it was so exciting to see the PTO out and active! You can be a part of this group, too. I joined this past week and encouraged all of our teachers and staff to join as well. The PTO plans to work to support teacher morale, support our students, and be a vehicle for parent voice.
