Spotsylvania County Public Schools conduct hearing and vision screenings per Code of Virginia. Hearing and vision screenings are currently underway for Kindergarten (if not completed as part of their physical), 3rd, 7th, and 10th grade students.
If parents wish to opt out they should contact their child's school nurse. Additionally, as part of SCPS practice new to the county students regardless of grade are also screened.
