Inclement Weather Plan

We are looking forward to celebrating the graduating class of 2024. All Spotsylvania County Public Schools graduations will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Currently the weather forecast indicates that there may be rain.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: GRADUATION CEREMONY UPDATE as of 5.17.24

Due to the predicted inclement weather that will occur throughout the day Saturday, all Spotsylvania County Public Schools High School Graduations have been moved to Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. 

This decision was not made lightly. This decision was based upon reviewing the weather forecast as well as feedback from our high school principals, parents, and students. We understand that this is an important day for our graduates and their families and that this  decision may not be ideal for everyone. Our goal is to ensure that both the graduates and their families have a safe and enjoyable ceremony as well as honoring plans already made for Saturday. Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Please bring a towel in case the stadium seats are still wet. As a reminder, all graduations will be live-streamed. For live-streaming information, please visit https://www.spotsylvania.k12.va.us/page/graduation.
