Mrs. René P. Daniels
René P. Daniels, Director of Communications and Community Engagement - Mrs. Daniels has a Masters in Strategic Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University of North Florida and more than 25 years experience in communications, public relations, photography, marketing, events planning, strategic planning, and business to business development in both the public and private sector. Additionally, Mrs. Daniels has served on numerous boards and committees throughout her career to include the Fredericksburg Area Regional Chamber of Commerce's WorkForce Now Board. Currently she serves on the Go Virginia Region 6 Council and the Rappahannock United Way - United Women Council. She is a member of the Fredericksburg Area Regional Chamber of Commerce, National Public Relations Society, National School Public Schools Association, and the Chesapeake Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association .
Since 2011, she has built relationships with area business and organizations to support the strategic mission of the school division—Together, we prepare our students for their future. She has been instrumental in the planning of SCPS’ 2014 Magna Award winning “Rock Out, Knock Out Homelessness”community awareness event. Along with her dedicated team, she continues to engage the community and support student success through division-wide events and Rover community bus visits.
