The Senior Award Ceremony will be held in the Auditorium May 16th at 8:30 am. There will be cake and room to take pictures afterwards in the Gymnasium.

February 27 - March 3 is Read Across America week. On Monday, Feb. 27 the librarians will be visiting Pride Time classrooms to "Catch Ponax Reading". Anyone (staff and teachers) who are actively reading will get to pick a special treat. Need a book to read? Make sure to visit the library to checkout books or get suggestions.
Women In Sports Helping Inspire the Next Generation (WISHING). Here is a great opportunity for young women to make a difference and inspire the next generation of women and girls in sport. Massaponax High School will be hosting our Rising Panther Night on February 21st from 5:30pm – 8:00pm. Rising freshman and their families are invited to attend this event to learn about the Ponax Culture, Course Options and Opportunities, Clubs, Athletics, and tour the building. The evening will consist of a welcome address at 5:30pm, followed by breakout sessions with teachers, counselors, and staff, as well as a tour of the facilities. We are excited to meet our new Panthers, the class of 2027.

A Neff representative will be at Massaponax on Tuesday February 7th to do fittings and take orders for MHS Letterman's jackets. Anyone with a MHS letter can order a jacket. Girl’s Lacrosse will have tryouts on Tuesday February 21st at 5:00 until 7:15 at the stadium. Tryouts are 2 days and practices will be held Mon-Fri from 5-7:15 pm. We can’t wait to see you there! You don’t have to have any experience to play!
Tennis preseason practice starts February 21 . Meet in Auxiliary Gym, ready to meet and get practice instruction. Tryouts end, if weather cooperates friday February 24th. There will be a team practice at Butler YMCA saturday morning 7:15-9am
The Scholastic Art Awards is the nation's oldest art competition, with over 200,000 student entries submitted. Entries are judged by regions; in the Southeast Region, MHS won several awards. Congrats to Jennifer Martinez, who won an Honorable mention and a Silver Key for her work, Angela Nguyen with two honorable mentions and Aaron Schieble who won a silver key. Their teacher is Ms. Elizabeth Corbin. Congrats to Faye Chiang, who won a silver key. Congrats to Aaron Schieble, who received an honorable mention. Congrats to Nathaniel Gist, who received an honorable mention. Congrats to Liberty Young and Olivia Kukahiko, who both received Gold keys for their art. Their teacher is Ms. Delana Chandler.
