Chancellor had an outstanding performance over the weekend at VHSL's 4AB Super-Regionals at Warhill High School ; we are very proud of our final show. Chancellor placed third out of eight and are the Alternate for the VHSL Class 4 State Festival. The scoring was very close among the top 3 schools and one of the judges ranked Chancellor as 1st place with a Superior rating. Ava Sherwood was honored as Top Performer and Kiki Lopez received Honorable Mention.
As the one act play season comes to a close, we want to celebrate the success of our students and performances. Flight of the Lawnchair Man placed Top 6 at the state-wide Virginia Theatre Association conference, won VHSL 4B North Regionals, and received Superior ratings. The students who won individual acting awards at our Festivals include:

Our Region 4 Champions Field Hockey Team will play Powhatan High School Friday evening in the State Semifinal match! The match will be played at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach and is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM. We're sending the team off today with a walking pep rally and they will practice in Virginia Beach this evening. We're planning to take a Student Fan Bus to the game tomorrow evening as well - the first 35 students who return a signed permission slip and $12 ticket price to Ms. Hoeninger. The bus will leave after school Friday.

Congratulations! Our Chancellor Chargers Field Hockey Team is Region 4C CHAMPIONS ! Thursday night the Chargers defeated Orange HS by a score of 4 to 0 and secured a first round State Playoff game at home Tuesday, November 12th.

Our Field Hockey team will play Orange HS Thursday evening for the Region 4C Championship. On Tuesday, Chancellor defeated Eastern View HS 11-1 in a semi-final match. Please come out and cheer on our ladies Thursday evening here at Charger Stadium. The Championship Match vs. Orange HS begins at 6:00. GO CHARGERS!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the fall one act play, Flight of the Lawnchair Man! Chancellor placed First at Region 4B North. Chancellor Theatre won first place and they received a Superior rating from all 4 judges. Ava Sherwood, Jelani Mitchell, and Kiki Lopez won Best Performer at the Festival. Toniann Thomas won Honorable Mention for Best Performance. Ava Sherwood was also recognized by the judges for her student choreography for the production. Chancellor travels to Warhill High School for Super-Regionals on Saturday, November 16.

Our theatre students competed last week at the Virginia Theatre Association where they received a standing ovation from Theatre teachers and professionals throughout the Commonwealth! Our student's performance was rated in the Top Six in the state at the competition - a monumental accomplishment - which means they performed again yesterday. Way to go Chancellor High School Drama/Theatre students, Mr. Armentrout and Mr. Worthington!
