Due to the anticipated inclement weather, Spotsylvania County Public Schools will be closed with asynchronous remote learning for students on Monday, March 16, 2026. 12-month employees report on time. All school and non-school activities, day and evening, are canceled.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION
SCPS will be providing meal bags at Chancellor High School from 10 a.m. to Noon on Monday, March 16th. All SCPS Students are eligible to receive one meal bag. It is not necessary for your child to be with you at the food distribution site; however, you will need to know your child's student ID or lunch number to pick up the meal bag.

UPDATE: IMPORTANT 2025-2026 INSTRUCTIONAL CALENDAR CHANGE
At the School Board Meeting on March 9, 2026, the School Board voted to add April 21, 2026, as a Teacher Work Day/Student Holiday due to the special election announcement on March 2, 2026. As a reminder, many of our schools are used as polling sites. The School Board made no other changes to the 2025-2026 Instructional Calendar. Friday, March 13, 2026, remains a Teacher Professional Learning Day/Student Holiday and the grading period remains unchanged.

I’m excited to share that our Assistant Principal, Rich Munsell, has been named principal at Blairsville Elementary School in his hometown in Pennsylvania. Please join me in congratulating him on this well-earned opportunity! This is bittersweet news for the Chancellor High School community.
We’re grateful for his leadership and dedication to our students, staff, and families. We know he will continue to do great things in his new role.
