Congratulations to our Courtland High School German Club for winning the teen category at the National Gingerbread House Competition in Asheville, NC. This year's entry stood out through sophisticated buildings, an Old-timer Car Rallye, and a movable Glockenspiel.
SCA would like to remind all students to check your emails and vote for the Homecoming Royalty. Sophomores and Freshmen also need to vote for their run-off elections for homecoming court. Voting will end on Friday at 3:00pm.

Congratulation to our very own Courtland Winter Drumline! The Winter Drumline received first place over 8 other drumline from around the state at their competition at Potomac High School This past Saturday. This is their highest score yet! Wish them luck as they prepare for their final performance at AIA Championships at the Hampton Coliseum on April 2nd.
SCA would like to congratulate Meredith Stapleton for being elected as the VSCA President and Kelsey Thorne for being elected as the Region 3 Representative for the 2023-24 school year. This is a great honor because the Virginia Student Council Association is the oldest state SCA in the US. Congratulations to both of you on your accomplishment and we can't wait to see what new ideas you bring to VSCA!

New School Record! The 4x200m relay team of Kwame Whitaker, Justin Ford, Francis Roberts and Chanan Mathis set a new Courtland HS record with a time of 1:29.84!
New School Record! Congrats to Lauren Castro on setting a new Courtland HS record in the 55m dash at Battlefield Districts with a 7.33. Previous record of 7.34 set by Sha\'Tia Hart in 2006! Go Lauren!
DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to the Indoor Track Team for being both Boys and Girls District Champions!
The MVP for the Girls was Lauren Castro score 26.5 points getting 1st in the 300m dash, 1st in the 4x200, 2nd in the 55 meter dash and 3rd in high jump.
The MVP for the Boys was Kwame Whitaker scoring 22 points getting first place in Long Jump, Triple Jump and 4x200.
Also, qualifying for State Championships were:
Justin Ford in the 300 meter dash with a time of 35.73
Francis Roberts in the 300 meter dash with a time of 35.75
Mo Ahmed in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:07.53
