The first-semester class of the Bridging the Gap Program presented their marketing class projects at the end of the second quarter. They shared their brand, product, logo, and business plan in presentations to an audience of their classmates and special guests. In attendance were their base school counselors, administrators, and Mrs. Angela Feaster, owner and operator of Dirty Paws Dogwash LLC.
Once the presentations were concluded, Mrs. Feaster spoke to the students about their business plans; offering suggestions and ideas if they were to turn these conceptual businesses into actual marketable products. She shared insights on being an entrepreneur and the lessons she has learned while building her businesses. She shared how impressed she was with the ideas they had and how they had presented a well-thought-out plan, each having the potential to be successful. She treated the class and staff to lunch and stayed to talk more to the students about what plans they had for careers as they moved closer to finishing high school.
Throughout the year, Mrs. Feaster has graciously donated funds to several programs and functions at JJW. Her knowledge, insight, and generosity are invaluable and we are so humbled and thankful for all that she has done for the students in the Bridging the Gap Program and all the programs at JJW.
