On June 13, 2024, Spotsylvania County Public Schools’ (SCPS) School Board approved the appointment of Mrs.Jametha Ruffin as the new Wilderness Elementary School principal.
“Mrs. Ruffin’s expertise in coaching, planning, implementing, and evaluating student-centered programs will be a great benefit to Spotsylvania County Public Schools,” shared Executive Director of Elementary Schools, Ms.Jennifer Belako. “She is committed to ensuring that all students have the resources and support to succeed.”
Mrs. Ruffin has 26 years of education experience in Virginia public schools, which includes serving as an instructional assistant, teacher, academic coach, assistant principal, and principal. She has a Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University, a Masters in Education from Regent University, an Education Specialist degree from Old Dominion University, and is working on her doctorate at Liberty University.
