Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. We are so excited to welcome our returning students and our new students to Post Oak Middle School. Our Back to School Day will take place on Monday, 8/8/22 from 9:00-11:00 AM and 5:00-7:00 PM where students and parents can visit the school. Student schedules will be available in ParentVUE on Friday, 8/5/22. A paper schedule will be available in your child’s A1 classroom during our Back to School Day on Monday, 8/8/22. Please note student schedules are subject to change as we are continuing to staff open positions.
PE uniforms will be available for purchase and PTO will be selling spirit wear during the Back to School Day on Monday, 8/8/22. There will be a brief Athletic information session available on Monday, 8/8 at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, for those interested in athletics.
The first day of school is Wednesday, 8/10/22. Bus routes can be viewed in ParentVUE for your planning purposes.
Rising 7th grade Families, please note:
The Code of Virginia section 22.1-171.2 and 21.1-46 states that all rising 7th graders must have received their first dose of the meningococcal (MCV-4) vaccine, as well as the Tdap booster in order to attend public school. Please utilize the remainder of summer break to have these immunizations administered so that your student may start the upcoming school year without interruption. In addition to your student’s pediatrician/family physician, feel free to contact your local urgent care centers and pharmacies, as well as the Spotsylvania County Health Department as possible locations for administration. Documentation may be dropped off in the front office Monday-Friday or brought to the school clinic on Back to School Day on 8/8/22.
