The end of the school year is quickly approaching and we are planning celebrations for our 8th grade students.
8th Grade Dance - May 17, 2024
The 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM at POMS.
Tickets to the dance are $10.00 and can be purchased from Ms. Wilson during homeroom until May 16, 2024.
The dance is semi-formal, so please no jeans or croc shoes.
All students are invited to attend the dance, but any student receiving ISS or OSS from May 8th to May 17th will not be permitted to attend.
We are always looking for parent assistance for set up and clean up and with chaperoning the dance. Please email Ms. Wilson at cwilson@spotsylvania.k12.va.us if you are interested and available to support the dance.
We are looking forward to celebrating with the 8th grade students.
8th Grade Picnic - May 20, 2024
The 8th Grade Picnic is scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 PM at POMS. The rain date is Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Students will enjoy outside activities, KONA Ice, pizza, chips, and time with their friends.
If families would like to donate bottled water and individual bags of chips to the picnic, it would be greatly appreciated.
8th Grade Awards Assembly - May 21, 2024
The 8th Grade Awards Assembly will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the POMS Auditorium.
Families of students receiving awards will be notified by the student’s teacher as well as will be invited through an automated phone message next week.
