The Virginia Department of Education has created a Parent Portal as a method for you to receive your child’s SOL test results. The Virginia Assessment Parent Portal, located at https://va-results.pearsonaccessnext.com, is a web-based portal where you will create a user account and gain access to your child's test results for certain statewide assessments. Test results from the Spring 2023 Non-Writing SOL test administration will be available within ten days of your child taking the assessment.
You will be able to review your child’s Student Detail by Question (SDBQ) Report for each test and, in most cases, you will be able to view a personalized video that accompanies the SDBQ Report for your child. This is a personalized video that provides an overview of the SDBQ report, explains specific details from your child’s SDBQ report, and directs you to resources on the Virginia Department of Education’s website (https://tinyurl.com/VAparentpage) to assist with your child's academic needs.
To create your Virginia Assessment Parent Portal account, follow the instructions provided in the Parent Portal User’s Guide. Once your account has been created and activated, you will use your child’s first name, last name, date of birth, and a Claim Code to add your child’s test results to your account. Your child’s Claim Code* can be found online in ParentVue on the Student Info tab at the bottom. If using the ParentVue app, click the Additional Information link when on the Student Info tab.
*If you previously created an account, a new claim code will need to be added to access the Spring 2023 reports.
We are pleased to have this opportunity to communicate information about your child’s test results on the SOL Tests this year. If you have questions regarding how to access the Virginia Assessment Parent Portal or your child’s test results, please contact the school testing coordinator by email at state@spotsylvania.k12.va.us or by phone at 540-582-7517 Ext. 6411.
