Dear Falcons Family,
I am thrilled and humbled to have been entrusted with the principalship of Ni River Middle School. I am blessed to join a dedicated team of educators and families who care deeply for their children’s success. The 23-24 school year marks my nineteenth year in the field of education and eight years as an administrator. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught science and special education for ten years at Robinson Secondary in Fairfax County. As an assistant principal, I have worked in Manassas City at the high school and elementary school levels. I earned my bachelor's from George Mason University, my master's from George Washington University, and my educational leadership specialist degree from the University of Virginia.
My husband and I are parents of two children. My son Ethan will also be starting middle school this year, and my daughter Eleanor will be going into the fourth grade. Our family resides in Fauquier County. We love being outdoors, exploring nature and science, and managing our apiaries of honeybees.
I look forward to continuing to build and strengthen the Falcon community. A strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. I am eager to get to know each and every student and will work to ensure that each family feels connected to Ni River Middle School.
We are going to have an amazing year learning and growing together. I will share information with you all soon about a meet the principal event where I hope to speak with each of you.
I look forward to learning all about our Ni River community and welcome you to reach out anytime!
Sincerely,
Ashley Faaborg, Ed.S.
