In celebration of Black History Month, Massaponax will be holding multiple events to remember those who lead us to the place we are now.
*Every Monday and Friday will feature a trivia contest with a new topic every week can be found on Canvas Announcements.
*We are also holding a creativity contest with entries due by February 24th. The theme is “Poetry & Pictures: Black History Through Our Eyes" You can use any creative medium you would like. Photography, drawings, painting, poetry and creative writing are just a few possibilities.
*Lastly, we want you to help design our BHM t-shirt. Please submit a one color design incorporating the words “Black History Month”, “Massaponax High School”, and “Poetry & Pictures: Black History Through Our Eyes” in your black and white design by February 10th to be considered for the t-shirt design contest. We hope this Black History Month will remind us of those who stood up and fought for all of us to be equal.
