FERNANDA KAIN
SEPTEMBER TEACHER OF THE MONTH
Fernanda Kain, a science teacher for 30+ years, has spent 25 of those at MHS. Fernanda earned her bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College. As a career switcher, she went back to school to earn her teaching license. In addition to teaching Environmental Science, Fernanda also teaches piano lessons to all ages. She is also very active in the community – volunteering at the Food Bank and other local agencies and summer camps. Fernanda also enjoys reading, crafting, Zumba and spending time with family and friends.
