My name is Paityn Jones, daughter of Stephen and Sara Jones. Some awards I have received in my time here at Ponax are having a 4.0 GPA or higher, also I have also received many awards during marching band season. A class that I am currently in, “Teachers for Tomorrow,” is my favorite class out of many during my four years here at Ponax. This is my favorite class because my goal for the future is to be a teacher, and this class is helping me achieve this goal by educating me about the things that I need to know about teaching. The one thing I am proud of accomplishing in high school is becoming drum major for our marching band, the Marching Panther Pride. Being a drum major helped me greatly obtain quality communication and leadership skills. It was the best part of my senior year, conducting the band. My college plans include me going to Germanna Community College and then transferring to a university after achieving my associates degree. In the future, I hope to earn my masters degree for Education after my years at a university. I hope to be either a high school Special Education teacher, or a higher elementary school teacher. I hope to be a great educator for the students that I will teach after what lies ahead.
