Madelyn Paz Castillo, daughter of Aner Paz and Denia Castillo, is a senior at Massaponax High School. Madelyn has been awarded the 4.0 GPA and above award, English Student of the Year, and Germanna Leader Award. Although transferring to Massaponax her sophomore year, Madelyn has especially enjoyed her Human Anatomy and Chemistry classes. She is most proud of her acceptance into the Gladys P. Todd Academy where she is pursuing her Associate Degree at Germanna Community College along with her Advanced Diploma. This summer she was accepted as a Questbridge College Prep Scholar where she was invited to a conference at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Madelyn is involved at Massaponax as an SCA Executive Board member and as a HOSA Representative for her Certified Nursing Assistant class at SCTC. At Germanna, Madelyn is involved in Phi Theta Kappa as Secretary and as a Student Government Senator. In the future, Madelyn plans on majoring in Human Biology and pursuing a career as a Pediatrician.
