BOOSTERTHON SUCCESS-
We had a great Fun Run and a successful fundraiser reaching our goal! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers, staff and families who helped with the Fun Run. We appreciate your support of our school. We loved seeing the smiles on the students’ faces! It’s not too late to give. Our fundraiser will be open for another week. ATTENDANCE UPDATES-
At LHES, we want our students to attend school regularly. Regular school attendance is important for your child’s academic success in school. When a child misses more than 10 days of school, it impacts their growth and learning. Please send your child to school on time each day and help us combat chronic absenteeism.
LION NATION REMINDERS-
Our lions continue to learn expectations, routines, and procedures. Please remember to be patient with bus transportation as we are working hard to check all students each afternoon as they get on the bus. Also, remember to fill out the “back to school” digital forms in ParentVue. Filling out the forms will allow you access to your student’s information. Please also remember that cars are not allowed in our bus loop during school hours due to daily bus transportation. Please do not pull into our bus loop between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Thank you for your support!
CURBSIDE REMINDERS-
Children should walk in front of their cars for safety. Pull cars up closer than a car length, we want to get as many people in as possible. Please stay in your car and if you need help let us know, we would love to help!
CAFETERIA REMINDERS-
We welcome families to visit for lunch with their child. We want to remind families that if you visit your child at lunch and bring outside food, we cannot share the outside food with any other students due to allergies. Parents and families may only bring food for their own child during lunch time. Thank you for understanding!

August 30th- Sunday, August 30, is National Screen Time Awareness Day, a day dedicated to increasing awareness of the impact that excessive screen time can have on children’s physical, social, emotional, and language development. With technology being such a big part of everyone's daily life, it’s important for families and educators to consider how screen habits affect our students’ learning and overall well-being. September 7th- Labor Day Holiday. School is closed for all students and staff.
September 8th- PTO Meeting, 6:00 pm

September 21st- Student/Teacher Holiday for Yom Kippur. School is closed on this day.

ACTUALIZACIONES DE ASISTENCIA
En LHES, queremos que nuestros estudiantes asistan a clases con regularidad. La asistencia regular es fundamental para el éxito académico de su hijo/a. Cuando un niño/a falta a clases más de 10 días, esto afecta su desarrollo y aprendizaje. Por favor, envíe a su hijo/a a la escuela puntualmente todos los días y ayúdenos a combatir el absentismo crónico.
RECORDATORIOS DE LA NACIÓN DEL LEÓN-
Nuestros alumnos siguen aprendiendo las normas, rutinas y procedimientos. Les pedimos paciencia con el transporte escolar, ya que nos esforzamos por revisar a todos los estudiantes cada tarde al subir al autobús. Además, recuerden completar los formularios digitales de "regreso a clases" en ParentVue. Al completarlos, tendrán acceso a la información de su hijo/a. Asimismo, les recordamos que no se permite el acceso de vehículos a la zona de autobuses durante el horario escolar debido al servicio diario de transporte. Por favor, no ingresen a la zona de autobuses entre las 8:00 a. m. y las 4:30 p. m. ¡Gracias por su colaboración!
RECORDATORIOS PARA LA ENTREGA EN LA ACERA
Los niños deben caminar delante de sus autos por seguridad. Aparquen los autos a una distancia menor a la longitud de un auto; queremos que suba la mayor cantidad de gente posible. Por favor, permanezcan en sus autos y, si necesitan ayuda, avísennos; ¡estaremos encantados de ayudarles!
RECORDATORIOS DE LA CAFETERÍA
Invitamos a las familias a que vengan a almorzar con sus hijos. Les recordamos que si traen comida de fuera, no podremos compartirla con otros alumnos debido a posibles alergias. Los padres y familiares solo pueden traer comida para sus propios hijos durante el almuerzo. ¡Gracias por su comprensión!
