HAPPY SPRING BREAK-
We hope all of our lions enjoy spring break next week! Remember, school is closed next week for spring break from March 30th-April 3rd. We hope everyone has a happy and safe break from school. We will see you back at school on Monday, April 6, 2026.
MARCH MADNESS ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE-
We will be having a little March Madness fun with attendance in the weeks ahead!
Starting this week through the week after Spring Break, we will have a special March Madness based on daily average attendance of students and assigned the teacher of the class.
Week 5: March 23-27: Top 4 teams compete, winners move to the next round. The final four classes are Volbrecht, Woodward, Raines, and Larimer!
Week 6: April 6-10: Top 2 teams compete in the Championship round
Brackets will be posted in the windows along the gym hallway. Let’s go, Lion Nation! Just be here everyday to help your class win!

SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FROM SCPS-
Calling all students looking for a fun, exciting way to learn, explore, and grow this summer!
Join us for our summer enrichment program on June 8-11, 2026!
Spotsylvania County Public Schools offers a variety of Summer Enrichment Programs for current Kindergarten through 5th graders. These classes are taught by highly enthusiastic teachers looking to engage students through hands-on learning opportunities. Students will take control of their own learning and leave feeling empowered. There is something for every student! Go to the SCPS Summer Enrichment Website to view the information and register online. Sign up early as classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration begins on March 16, 2026 and closes on April 17, 2026.

April 10th- House Meeting Day! Wear your house colors.
April 10th- Field Day Volunteer Forms Due back to school. These will be sent home with your student. If you would like to volunteer for this year’s field day, please fill out the form and return it by this date.
April 17th- Field Day! K-2 Field Day is from 9:15-11:05 and Grades 3-5 Field Day is 1:00-2:45 p.m.
April 21st- School is closed for students due to the Special Election. This is teacher workday.
April 24th- Field Day Rain Date/Make Up Date.

¡FELICES VACACIONES DE PRIMAVERA!
¡Esperamos que todos nuestros alumnos disfruten de las vacaciones de primavera la próxima semana! Recuerden que la escuela estará cerrada del 30 de marzo al 3 de abril por las vacaciones de primavera. Les deseamos a todos unas felices y seguras vacaciones. Los esperamos de regreso en la escuela el lunes 6 de abril de 2026.
DESAFÍO DE ASISTENCIA DE LA LOCURA DE MARZO
¡En las próximas semanas nos divertiremos un poco al estilo de la Locura de Marzo con la asistencia!
Desde esta semana hasta la semana siguiente a las vacaciones de primavera, tendremos un torneo especial de "March Madness" basado en la asistencia diaria promedio de los estudiantes y asignado al profesor de la clase.
Semana 5: del 23 al 27 de marzo: Los 4 mejores equipos compiten; los ganadores pasan a la siguiente ronda. ¡Las cuatro clases finalistas son Volbrecht, Woodward, Raines y Larimer!
Semana 6: del 6 al 10 de abril: Los 2 mejores equipos compiten en la ronda final del campeonato.
Los cuadros de competición estarán colocados en las ventanas del pasillo del gimnasio. ¡Vamos, Nación León! ¡Vengan todos los días para ayudar a su clase a ganar!

10 de abril-Formularios de inscripción para voluntarios del Día Deportivo: Fecha límite de entrega: Se enviarán a casa con su hijo/a. Si desea ser voluntario/a para el Día Deportivo de este año, complete el formulario y entréguelo antes de esta fecha.
17 de abril-¡Día de campo! El día de campo para los grados K-2 es de 9:15 a 11:05 y el día de campo para los grados 3-5 es de 1:00 a 2:45 p.m.
21 de abril-La escuela está cerrada para los estudiantes debido a las elecciones especiales. Hoy es día de trabajo para los maestros.
24 de abril- Fecha alternativa en caso de lluvia o para recuperar el Día de Campo.
