SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR ANNUAL WINTER MULTICULTURAL FAIR-
We are looking forward to our annual Winter Multicultural Fair coming up on December 12th from 5:00-6:30 pm, followed by our Winter Chorus and Orff Ensemble Concert at 6:30 pm. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for food tastings, our Parade of Nations, and lots of fun! *See the attached flyer to sign up to bring in food for the event. LOST AND FOUND-
Our Lost and Found bin is filling up with clothing items. Parents, please label your children’s jackets and coats with names in case they go missing. Please check the Lost and Found for any missing items.

*We will continue our safety drills next week. We will have a fire drill coming up in December!
November 24th-28th- Fall Break. School is closed this week for Fall Break.
December 3rd- Schoolwide Spelling Bee, 1:45 pm
December 4th- 2nd Grade Music Concert, 6:00 pm. Come see a night of dancing, and singing in our winter 2nd grade performance. It will be held on December 4, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Lee Hill Cafeteria. Performers are to arrive and report to their home rooms no later than 5:45 pm.
December 5th- House Meeting Day! Wear your house colors!
December 12th- Winter Multicultural Fair 5:00-6:30pm, Winter Chorus & Orff Concert 6:30 pm
December 19th- End of 2nd Quarter
December 22nd-January 5th- Winter Break. School Closed for students.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS-
Congratulations to our 5th graders again for having the best overall grade level attendance for the month of October! Regular school attendance is essential to academic success! We encourage families to set regular routines for getting students to school on time each day and checking backpacks for safety. Thank you for your support! Here are some highlights from October:

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR AREA-
With breaks from school approaching, what will you do while you are away from Lee Hill? Check out two programs: Museums for All and the Virginia 250 Passport. Museums for All allows families on SNAP or EBT to get discounted admission to sites across the United States. The Virginia 250 Passport program launched on Veterans Day and will be going on through 2026. If you visit sites from your passport, you can receive discounted admission to museums across Virginia!
SCHOOL DIRECTORY SIGN UP-
We are working to create the LHES School Directory for our 25-25 school year. If you would like to make your information available to other LHES parents, please fill out the information in the link below. Many people ask for information to facilitate social connections outside of school, coordinate homework/class tasks, prepare for school events, and build our community. A directory will be created from the entries provided and shared only with those parents/guardians within the directory. Click here.

HERE COMES THE BUS APP-
The Here Comes the Bus parent app for school bus tracking will be reactivated on Wednesday, August 6th. Until that day, parents will not be able to create a new account or add a new student. If parents have any questions, please visit the Transportation section of the SCPS website, where they can access the Here Comes the Bus support site.
DRILLS-
Our school practices safety drills each year in order to train students and staff on emergency procedures. We will be practicing fire drills, severe weather drills, and lockdown/intruder drills several times within the first 20 days of school and then continuously throughout the year.

Esperamos con ansias nuestra Feria Multicultural Anual de Invierno el 12 de diciembre de 17:00 a 18:30 h, seguida de nuestro Concierto del Coro de Invierno y el Conjunto Orff a las 18:30 h. ¡Apúntenlo y únanse a nosotros para disfrutar de degustaciones gastronómicas, nuestro Desfile de las Naciones y mucha diversión! *Consulten el folleto adjunto para inscribirse y traer comida al evento. ¡Se ha extendido la fecha límite para inscribirse y organizar una mesa con su familia! ¡Inscríbanse hasta el 4 de diciembre! OBJETOS PERDIDOS Y ENCONTRADOS-
Nuestro contenedor de objetos perdidos se está llenando de ropa. Padres, por favor, etiqueten las chaquetas y abrigos de sus hijos con sus nombres por si se pierden. Por favor, revisen el contenedor de objetos perdidos para ver si hay algún artículo perdido.
*Próximas fechas importantes para LHES:
Continuaremos con nuestros simulacros de seguridad la próxima semana. ¡Tendremos un simulacro de incendio en diciembre!
24-28 de noviembre- Vacaciones de otoño. La escuela está cerrada esta semana por las vacaciones de otoño.
3 de diciembre- Concurso de ortografía escolar, 1:45 p. m.
4 de diciembre-Concierto de Música de 2.º Grado, 18:00 h. Ven a disfrutar de una noche de baile y canto en nuestra presentación de invierno de 2.º Grado. Se llevará a cabo el 4 de diciembre de 2025 a las 18:00 h en la Cafetería Lee Hill. Los artistas deben llegar y presentarse en sus aulas a más tardar a las 17:45 h.
5 de diciembre¡Día de reunión de la casa! ¡Viste los colores de tu casa!

¡Felicitamos nuevamente a nuestros alumnos de 5.º grado por la mejor asistencia general de su grado durante el mes de octubre! La asistencia regular a la escuela es esencial para el éxito académico. Animamos a las familias a establecer rutinas regulares para que los estudiantes lleguen puntualmente a la escuela todos los días y revisen sus mochilas por seguridad. ¡Gracias por su apoyo! ¡AQUÍ VIENE LA APLICACIÓN DEL AUTOBÚS!
La aplicación para padres "Here Comes the Bus" para el seguimiento del autobús escolar se reactivará el miércoles 6 de agosto. Hasta esa fecha, los padres no podrán crear una nueva cuenta ni agregar nuevos estudiantes. Si tienen alguna pregunta, pueden visitar la sección de Transporte del sitio web de SCPS, donde podrán acceder a... Sitio de soporte de Here Comes the Bus.
TALADROS-
Nuestra escuela practica simulacros de seguridad cada año para capacitar a estudiantes y personal sobre procedimientos de emergencia. Practicaremos simulacros de incendio, de clima severo y de encierro/intrusión varias veces durante los primeros 20 días de clases y, posteriormente, de forma continua durante todo el año.
