Attendance Information

Attendance is extremely important for the success of every child. Please partner with us in ensuring that your child comes to school each day that he/she is well. Regular school attendance helps children to feel more connected and better about school and themselves. Positive school attendance has positive impacts on academic, social, and emotional learning for all children. This also means that it is important that your child come to school on time and stay at school for the entire day so that they do not miss out on important learning. Let’s continue to build this healthy habit in order to set your child up for success!

If you have an upcoming family trip or extended absence planned, please contact the front office.

Currently, 20.94% of our school population is considered to have chronic absenteeism. That means they have missed 10% or more of the days that they have been enrolled in school for the school year. We look forward to continuing to work together in order to improve our attendance. We have the chance to turn this around!

Here are the percentages of chronic absenteeism per grade level:

Kindergarten - 29.17%

1st - 22.55%

2nd - 17.60%

3rd - 19.80%

4th - 16.10%

5th - 20.51%

Our goal is to be less than 15%! We know that we have experienced an increase in illnesses over the past week. Please practice healthy habits in order to ensure that our students feel well and come to school. Let's work together to keep decreasing our number of chronically absent students.
