Action Steps:

All K–5 teachers and SPED staff will receive professional learning on math discourse routines aligned to WWC “Mathematical Language.” Classroom video recording devices will support teacher self-observation and reflection on their instructional practices, collection of targeted feedback, and collaborative improvement in the implementation of strategies aligned to the identified EBIs, including explicit instruction, structured mathematical discourse, and comprehension routines.
General education and SPED teachers will conduct daily Math Talks in Tier I and SPED-supported classrooms
Teachers will embed math discourse prompts in lesson plans and receive feedback on those plans
Staff will participate in i-Ready professional development to support the implementation of selected evidence-based interventions (EBIs) by building teacher capacity to analyze diagnostic data, plan targeted small-group instruction, and monitor progress for students with disabilities (SWD), resulting in more responsive Tier 1 and intervention practices that address specific skill gaps
Teachers and instructional coaches will collaboratively plan to develop aligned Tier I instructional plans grounded in the identified EBIs
