Welcome to Riverview Elementary School, Home of the Panthers!

I am both honored and thrilled to be the principal of Riverview Elementary School! I look forward to working with this amazing community – our students, families, staff and community members. I love working within the community where I live and have raised my own family. It is a joy to work daily with our staff and parents as we work together to meet the learning needs of all of our students.

I am proud to be a Spotsylvania High School graduate (Go Knights!). My education, coupled with my school experiences, inspired me to join the teaching profession. As I enter my thirtieth year in education, I am fortunate to have had various experiences in the Spotsylvania County School System. My teaching experience began in elementary school in Spotsylvania County. After seven years of teaching, my career path led me into administration. I earned my Master's in Education Administration and Supervision at Virginia Commonwealth University. I served as the assistant principal at Wilderness Elementary and Parkside Elementary and now proudly serve as the principal of Riverview Elementary.

I live in Spotsylvania County with my husband, Duke, who is also an educator for Spotsylvania County Schools. We have been blessed to raise our twin daughters, Hanna and Hallie, now 24, in a community we trust and love. Working with children, on a daily basis, is both a passion and a privilege. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community and doing a job I love in a school that is truly student centered!
