I am honored to be Massaponax High School's principal and serve this great community in Spotsylvania County. This is my 25th year in education, and I bring a diverse background to the position. I spent 8 years in the classroom as a history teacher at two rural comprehensive high schools and a small urban Focus School. This is my 17th year in administration, where I have served in various roles and settings. I have been an assistant principal, principal, Licensure Specialist in Human Resources, and Chief Academic Officer. As principal, I have led a large urban, comprehensive high school and a small Blue Ribbon award-winning urban Magnet School.
I earned my B.A. in History from Emory & Henry College, my M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University, and my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. My wife and I are blessed with 3 amazing children, 2 “grand-dogs,” and a wonderful son-in-law. My oldest daughter graduated from Roanoke College, my son graduated from Emory & Henry College, and my youngest daughter is a junior in high school, where she attends the regional Governor’s School and plays volleyball.
I am amazed by the caliber of students, supportive community, and professional staff at Massaponax High School. I look forward to seeing our Panthers' outstanding accomplishments in 2023-2024!
