Dear Students, Parents and Community members

Welcome to the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center’s website.  The Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center or SCTC as we call it, is part of the Spotsylvania County Public School Division.  We serve students from all five county high schools by offering a robust selection of nineteen Career and Technical Education areas focused on Architecture and Construction, Health Occupations, Personal Services, AV Arts and Communication, Information Technology and Transportation.  We welcome students in grades 10 thru 12, offering exploratory paths for tenth graders, while encouraging eleventh graders to pick a two year concentration area to best achieve the certifications and foundational knowledge necessary to proceed into a career or postsecondary education following high school graduation.  You can find lists and descriptions of our offerings  under the ABOUT US tab at the top the page.

In addition to serving students in secondary school, we offer a comprehensive Apprenticeship Related Instructional program for adults engaged in the trades of Electricity, HVAC/R, Plumbing and Cosmetology.  Out ARI program leads to journey worker licensure as well as the apprenticeship credential from the Department of Labor and Industry.  Information about these programs can be found under the APPRENTICESHIP TAB at the top of the page.

SCTC has a wonderful staff of teachers, many of whom have come directly from business and industry.  They bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom experience and are well connected to professionals in the local business community.  Our students go on to careers in this community and beyond either right out of high school or after further education at a two or four year institution.  We are among the best equipped and staffed career and technical centers in the state and I invite you to further explore our school via this website and to contact us for further information about our programs.  Thanks for taking an interest in our school.

SCTC believes in the dignity of work.
