Jennifer Gardner, Principal

  • Welcome to Riverview Elementary School, Home of the Panthers!

I am both honored and thrilled to be the principal of Riverview Elementary School! I look forward to working with this amazing community – our students, families, staff and community members. I love working within the community where I live and have raised my own family. It is a joy to work daily with our staff and parents as we work together to meet the learning needs of all of our students.

I am proud to say that I am a Spotsylvania High School graduate (Go Knights!). My education coupled with my school experiences inspired me to join the teaching profession. As I enter my thirtieth year in education, I am fortunate to have had a variety of experiences in Spotsylvania County School System. My teaching experience began in elementary school in Spotsylvania County. After seven years of teaching, my career path led me into administration. I earned my Master Degree in Education Administration and Supervision at Virginia Commonwealth University. I served as the assistant principal at Wilderness Elementary, Parkside Elementary and I now proudly serve as principal of Riverview Elementary.

I live in Spotsylvania County with my husband, Duke, who is also an educator for Spotsylvania County Schools. We have been blessed to raise our twin daughters, Hanna and Hallie, now 24, in a community we trust and love. Working with children, on a daily basis, is both a passion and a privilege.  I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community and doing a job I love in a school that is truly student centered!

    Go Panthers!

Tiffany Boggs, Assistant Principal

  • Hello Panther family!  I am excited to be joining the team at Riverview Elementary School as Assistant Principal.  I began my career in education in Spotsylvania County nine years ago and have truly found a community that feels like home.  I spent my first three years in education as a classroom teacher and then transitioned into a role working with students as a Gifted Resource Teacher.  Most recently, I had the opportunity to serve as Livingston Elementary’s Administrative Intern.  I am fortunate that each of these opportunities provided the learning experiences and knowledge to now passionately serve the Riverview Elementary community.

I was born and raised in the small town of Palmyra, Virginia and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at James Madison University.  Go Dukes!  After college, I found a new home here with Spotsylvania County Schools.  I most recently completed Administration and Supervision coursework through Longwood University. I am excited to join the committed, student-centered staff at Riverview as we strive for excellence for each of our students.

As we begin a new school year together, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.  Thank you for joining us in our mission to help our students “work hard and play harder” each day.  I look forward to serving the Riverview community and getting to know the people that make it such a special place!
