Dr. Pisani - Principal

For much of my professional career I have been at the high school level in New York where I have served as a Social Studies teacher, Associate Principal and Principal. Prior to becoming the principal of Massaponax High School I was the principal at Washington and Lee High School in Westmoreland County, Virginia. I hold administrative licenses for building administration and superintendent in both New York and Virginia. My Doctorate of Philosophy in Education is in Leadership in Educational Administration. My wife Jennifer and I have two sons, Nicholas and Andrew who are both students in Spotsylvania County Public Schools.

Mrs. Hinrichs - Assistant Principal (A-D)

Angela Hinrichs has been an assistant principal at Massaponax High School since July 2004. She is a former English teacher at Courtland High School and the Commonwealth Governors School. Mrs. Hinrichs has a BA in English and Psychology from The College of William and Mary and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Her duties at Massaponax include school safety, fundraisers, the IAAM Program, supervision of the Social Studies department and the In-School Suspension program.

Dr. Bolar comes to Spotsylvania from Petersburg City Public Schools, where he served as an administrator and counselor and fostered greater cooperation between school and community agencies.  He is an instructional leader with experience as a school administrator in Virginia and North Carolina.  He has Virginia licenses in school counseling, administration & supervision, as well as division superintendent.  As an accomplished motivational speaker and author, Dr. Bolar is an enthusiastic educator eager to make a positive impact on the lives of Massaponax students in accord with his mantra:

"21st century students don't care how much you know, until you prove to them just how much you care!"

His major responsibilities include textbooks (accounting & distribution), student debt list, parking, and coordination of the Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) program.

Mr. Hall received an MEd in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. He recently completed a PhD in Instructional Technology through George Mason University.

At Massaponax, Mr. Hall's responsibilities include student supervision "Rf-Z", facilities & maintence, E-Learning, Ninth Grade RTI/PST and coordination of the Free & Reduced Lunch Program.

Dr. Kristy Pitts is the Instructional Coordinator at Massaponax High School. Dr. Pitts has worked for Spotsylvania County Schools since the fall of 1980. She began her career teaching English and reading at Battlefield Middle School. In 1982, she transferred to Courtland High School, where she taught English and Journalism and sponsored both the newspaper and the yearbook. She served as Instructional Coordinator at MHS from 2000-2005, and she served as Testing Coordinator for the school division for the 2005-2006 school year. She returned to MHS as Instructional Coordinator in the fall of 2006 and continues to serve in that position.

Dr. Pitts is the primary contact for all school testing programs, mentor programs, professional development programs and instructional programs. She is also the administrator who oversees the English and World Languages departments.

Dr. Pitts earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Mary Washington College. She earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at George Mason University, and earned her PhD in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Clements is responsible for coordinating all athletic programs at Massaponax, including compliance with county and VHSL guidlines, and the selection and supervision of coaches.  In addition, Mr. Clements coordinates building usage and field trips.

Ms. Tiffany Marchetti - Director of Counseling Dept

Ms. Marchetti came to Massaponnax High School in 2018 as the Director of School Counseling.  Prior to MHS, she spent 5 years as a middle school counselor at Chancellor Middle school and 7 years as a high school counselor at Chancellor High School.  Before coming to the school system, Ms. Marchetti's background was in mental health counseling where she worked as a Mental Health Residential Specialist, and as an Intensive In home counselor.  Ms. Marchetti received her Bachelor's in Psychology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Ms. Marchetti has 2 children, Mason and Ashlyn who both attend Spotsylvania County Schools.
