Mrs. Tori Elliott
My name is Mrs. Elliott and I am the school counselor here at Wilderness Elementary. I am so excited to be serving this community another year! When I am not at school, I enjoy running, spending time with my husband and friends, being Aunt Titi to my 10 nieces and nephews, taking pictures, going on adventures and eating ice cream!
In 2015, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education from Longwood University. I then completed my Master’s Degree in K-12 School Counseling from Liberty University in 2017. Upon completion of my Master’s Degree, I joined the Wilderness family in 2018. It has been such a joy working with this population.
My role at Wilderness is built on the foundation of a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program. To meet the needs of all students, all classrooms will receive monthly classroom lessons, access to individual meetings with the counselor as needed, and opportunities for small groups.
Classroom lesson topics may include:
- Goal Setting
- Social Skills
Small group topics may include:
- Social Skills
- Study Skills
- Anger Management
Individual counseling may be requested by the student, parent, or teacher. During this time, students can briefly talk with the counselor to discuss obstacles they may be facing. The counselor provides a safe and supportive environment where together we find solutions to resolve problems that may be impacting the student’s success. Parents may also call or schedule to meet with the counselor.
I am very eager and excited to be serving Wilderness this school year and cannot wait to meet your student! At any time, please feel free to contact me through email or by leaving me a message.
