Dr. Chandra Rhue, Principal

Greetings,

It is truly an honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of Thornburg School.  I was born and raised in North Carolina, and attend East Carolina University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Science Education. In 2011, I received my Masters Degree in Secondary Science Education; and in 2012, I earned my endorsement in K-12 Administration and Supervision from the University of Richmond. Most recently in 2018, I received my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech.

Sixteen years ago, I started my Educational career in Chesterfield County.  Since then, I have committed myself to the field of education and gained experience in a variety of environments such as New York City Public Schools and Hanover County Public Schools. In my spare time I enjoy DIY projects, reading, watching sports, as well as traveling and spending time with my family. I currently serve as a board member of the Bon Secours College of Nursing, and I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

It is with great pride that I am able to serve as an educational leader in Spotsylvania County. GO JAGUARS!
