Student Enrichment Activities

  • Musical Mustangs - Musical Mustangs is a singing group that has 2 performances during the year, one at Bedtime stories with Santa and another in the Spring. We focus on strengthening our vocal skills, team work and having a good time. This group is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and meets on Day 4 in the morning.

Mustang Band - The band is a 5th grade extra curricular activity that focuses on beginning level skills for a concert band.  The woodwind family (flutes, clarinets, and saxophones) meets Mondays after school and the brass (trumpets and trombones) and percussion family meet Wednesdays after school.  The band performs three times throughout the year: Christmas concert, Spring concert and at the fifth grade ceremony.

Sponsor for both – Mrs. Rhonda Kapus

Art Alliance - Students work independently on various art projects outside of regular art class. Art club meets on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 8:30 am and is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.

    Sponsor – Ms. Norma Jeffer

Book Bunch – Book Bunch is a lively group of 4th & 5th grade readers who gather to talk about books they are currently reading and recommend books to others. While talking, we decorate free bookmarks for our school community.  We also help with the Kick-Off of our annual One School, One Book program.  Book Bunch meets in the library every Day 3 from 8-8:30 AM.

Sponsors – Mrs. Laura Godshall & Mrs. LeAnn Farley

Runaway Mustangs – Running in the halls is ok if it’s Day 2 and you are part of the Runaway Mustangs group! Open to students in 4th and 5th grades.
