Spotsylvania County Public Schools COVID-19 Dashboard
The purpose of the SCPS COVID-19 Dashboard is to provide our families and staff with a transparent summary of COVID-19 cases. The weekly update indicates the number of new cases that a student or staff member has tested positive or presume positive for an active COVID-19 infection for the specific week. Individuals who test positive are excluded from participation in any in-person/on-campus activity until the school nurse verifies that the individual meets the return criteria set by the Virginia Department of Health. The breakdown by school/site reflects the combined positive cases as well as quarantines for the past week. It is important to note that the quarantine cases may not be the result of a case on campus but do impact the school/department and therefore are included in the data.
Additionally, the Virginia Department of Health website provides metrics based on the CDC Indicators for Dynamic School Decision-Making. To view Spotsylvania County's metric click on the following link https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/key-measures/pandemic-metrics/school-metrics/, select "CDC School Metrics," once on that page change the locality to Spotsylvania, then scroll down to "Core Indicators."
IMPORTANT NOTE: At this time our nurses and administrators are diligently working on contact tracing for numerous COVID-19 cases across the division. As such, the SCPS Dashboard only reflects cases in which contact tracing has been completed.
