Purchasing Office - General Overview

  • Mission Statement - The Spotsylvania County Schools Purchasing Department serves to provide essential goods, services and construction requirements that enhance and support the Division’s commitment to providing a high quality, comprehensive education for all students. Quality goods and services are acquired at the right time, place, and quantity to ensure continued Division Operations and best value for the community’s tax dollar.

    Bidders List - The Purchasing Department does not maintain a formal bidders list. All formal solicitations (IFB's/RFP's) are advertised on the Purchasing Department website and the Virginia state electronic procurement system (eVA). To access a current listing, click the Current Solicitations link on this page. If you are not already an eVA registered vendor, please visit the eVA website for registration details.

    Vendor Policy - The Purchasing Department encourages and welcomes vendors to supply their catalogs and price lists of the goods/services they provide or manufacture. Vendors are also welcome to visit the Purchasing Department; however, in order for the staff and vendors to schedule their time efficiently, an appointment IS required. Appointments may be scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.
