Greetings Cedar Forest students, parents, and community members. My name is Holly Taylor and I am so thrilled to have the privilege of continuing to serve you as your assistant principal.
I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland but have been a resident of Virginia for more than half my life. My family relocated to Hanover in 1996 and I have resided there ever since. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Teaching. I received my Post-Master’s Certificate in Administration and Leadership from Longwood University. Prior to coming to Cedar Forest, I had the privilege of being a classroom teacher for 13 years. I have experience teaching all grades at the elementary level and have worked with many diverse learners throughout my career.
I am also the proud mother of two beautiful daughters; Faith and Hope. Faith will be starting her sophomore year at Virginia Commonwealth University where she continues to pursue elementary education. Hope will be a 7th grader this year and is most excited about getting to learn French. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, staying active, and traveling.
I am excited and honored to remain a part of the Cedar Forest family. As we embark on this new year, I am most looking forward to the relationships and partnerships I will continue to form and strengthen with our students, staff, parents and community members. Please feel free to contact me or stop by anytime, my door is always open! I am looking forward to another fantastic school year!
