Tuition Reimbursement

  • As a benefit to all contracted employees, Spotsylvania County Public Schools is offering tuition reimbursement up to and not to exceed $1500 in a school year which is equivalent to no more than $750 for two semesters per school year.  

    Subject to the availability of funds, the tuition reimbursement program provides money to any staff member who, by application, requests tuition assistance for the following reasons:

    • To improve one's job skills;

    • To complete an advanced degree program;

    • To meet licensure requirements or for recertification;

    • For other training necessary for the current position the employee is assigned. 

    Any employee who receives reimbursement for a course or training must sign a Tuition Reimbursement Agreement. By the terms of the agreement, the school division shall be reimbursed all tuition funds paid to the employee in the event the employee resigns or voluntarily terminates employment with the school division within two (2) years following the completion of the course or training.
