    New Announcements
    This week is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Did you know that currently 340 student are identified as homeless in Spotsylvania County? Please bring non-perishable food donations to the library and leave them in the bins provided all week long. Thank you for your support!

    Any students interested in applying for an HVAC apprenticeship with Steamfitters Local, please see Ms. Marchetti in the counseling office.

    No Mess November – Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!  Paper and plastic – look for the blue trash cans.  All other trash goes in grey.  Please help keep Massaponax Clean.  Do your part, it only takes one to start the trend.

    Wear your Teal and Black!  Panther Pals is selling Pura Vida bracelets in MHS colors.  Get yours before they sell out!  Being sold in the mornings in the Library.  $6.00.  Parents these make great stocking stuffers!

    Come join us for some good old fashioned fun! PRISM will host a Game Day on Wednesday 11/13 from 2:30-4pm in Room 155. Bring a light snack (chips, dip, etc.) to share if you’d like. Hope to see you there!

    Girls Basketball tryouts will be Monday night from 6-8. Any player of any skill is more than welcome to come out! See Ms. McMaken in Room 134 if you have any questions

    The final day to drop a course without penalty is November 15. (This does NOT apply to level changes).

    Due to recent popular demand, SENIOR t-shirt orders will continue to be taken this week. Mrs. Clements will be selling them outside of the SCA office, in front of the senior courtyard for the first 10 minutes of each lunch shift. If you can't make it during the lunch shifts, then see Ms. Taylor in the main office. She will also be taking t-shirt orders throughout the week. T-shirts are still $5, and can be paid in cash or check, made out to MHS in blue or black ink pen.

    November 13 6:00pm-8:00pm there will be a career & volunteer fair open to all SCPS students grades 9-12 at Courtland High School. Please plan to attend to learn about internship, job, and volunteer opportunities!


    National Honor Society is hosting the annual can-struction food drive starting Nov. 4. Bring in your canned food donations to give to your favorite MHS club. All of your donations will be given to the Treasure House to help support those in need. Donations will be accepted through November 13.

    Winter sports start on Nov. 11. Anyone interested in Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Swim, or Indoor (winter) Track need to have an Orange "Panther Pass" to try out. To get a "Panther Pass" you must turn in or have on file a VHSL physical form dated after May 1 and completed the Online Concussion Education with a parent. "Panther Passes" will be available to pick up in Commons B during lunch shifts on Monday, Nov. 4, Friday, Nov. 8, or Monday, Nov. 11. See Mr. Clements with any questions.
