Dr. S. Scott Baker, Ed.D.Dr. S. Scott Baker, Superintendent - Dr. Baker has 23 years of experience in public school education and has served in a variety of roles including Special Education, English and Theater Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. For the past four years, he has served as the Superintendent of Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
His accomplishments include being named King William County’s Sallie Mae Award nominee for First Year Teacher of the Year in 1993, Teacher of the Year for both King William High School and King William County Public Schools in 1996, and REB Distinguished Principal of the Year in 2007.
Dr. Baker earned a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia, a Master of Education in Education Administration and Supervision K-12 from Virginia Commonwealth University, Special Education teaching Endorsement K-12 from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in English, with a minor in Theater, from Radford University.
