    New Announcements
    Congratulations to both Concert and Symphonic Orchestras for both earning a grading of Superior at District Orchestra Assessment yesterday.

    Well done Kaleb Doughtery and Madeleine Ball for winning the last Mathlete competition getting 4 questions right. Ethan Dudley won the year contest, with ChristopherDrew Lucas, Joe Clift, Audrey Cavendish, and Madeleine Ball rounding out the top 5 players for the year.

    Last night both JV and Varsity Girls Soccer swept Chancellor High School in a memorable win! JV girls won 2-0 with goals scored by Jordyn Moffat and Suzanna Stohr with an assist tallied for Riley Nevitt. Varsity walked away with a shutout for keeper Autumn Dellelis and an 8 to zero victory! Goals were scored by Tyria Smalls with a HAT TRICK! Caitlyn Kirtley had two goals, Jessica Santiago, Olivia Farto and Amber Jacobs each with one goal. Come out Tuesday night and support Girls soccer as they take on Brooke Point at home in the first conference match of the season.

    Girls Tennis raised their record to 2-2 after defeating Chancellor yesterday 8-1 The girls were led the double winners: #1 Alexa Brewster, #2 Emily Ochsenknecht, #3 Katherine Sullivan, & #4 Maddie McNult along with #5 win by Rukhma Zahir and the #3 Doubles team of Fiona Gilbert and Naveena Deva.
    Next up home match vs Colonial Forge on Monday.

    Senior Announcements
    The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office will be awarding (2) separate $500 scholarships to each of the (5) high schools within the county and (1) $500 scholarship to the home school program to promote the education of Spotsylvania County students and give financial support to those attending a two or four year college, a visual or performing arts school, or a vocational/technical school.  See the MHS Counseling website or Naviance for more information and to print the application.

    College Bound Juniors should register to take the SAT this Spring. The May test is the last SAT offered at Massaponax High School for this school year.    Students register online at  for the SAT!

    If you are interested in photography, writing or graphic design, consider applying to take yearbook next year! Applications and teacher recommendation forms can be picked up from the guidance office or from Miss Marshall in room 130.

    Class of 2018! We are going on a JUNIOR ONLY field trip to see a Flying Squirrels baseball game on Friday, May 5th. Tickets will be $20 and will be sold during lunches the first 2 weeks in April. Busses will leave at 5:30pm and will return around 11:00pm. Junior Dues must be paid in order to purchase a ticket. If you have any questions, see Ms. Pfeiffer or Ms. Finnegan.

    Have you ever been to a painting party? Maybe you were interested but never had the chance to try it? Well, Panther Pals is putting on a paint night on March 29 led by Mrs. Atkinson. It will be after school in the commons starting at 3:30. All are welcome to attend, the cost is $25. Fill out the google form on the MHS website to enroll, see Mrs. Brawn with any questions.

    If you are taking an AP test this year you MUST attend an AP Bubbling Session on either Tuesday April 11th or Wednesday April 12th in Commons B at 2:30. Please bring a pencil and have a ride home by 3:15.

"It's OK to be Different" Paint Night

Please join us on March 29 at 3:30 as Mrs. Tricia Atkinson of Figure8 Ink leads us in a painting featuring Rainbow Fish (see flyer attached.)  The cost is $25. We will be painting in the Commons at Massaponax High School.  All ages and abilities are welcome!!!

    This will provide students who have devices, filtered access to the Internet and educational resources while at school.  This access will not utilize your data plan.
