  • Instructional Calendar Changes

    • Due to the disruption caused by our recent weather events Spotsylvania County Public Schools has decided to cancel 1st semester exams.  Student grades for the semester will be calculated using the grades from the 1st and 2nd 9-week marking periods.
    • Please note that although exams are canceled some teachers may still utilize the assessment as a means of determining student growth.  Additionally, while some teachers may forgo the exam entirely a student will have the opportunity to take the exam should they choose to do so.  Any student wanting to take the exam will need to coordinate a suitable time with their teacher. In all cases an exam grade can only be used should it elevate a student's semester average.
    • As a result of the cancellation of exams, January 23, 24, 25 will now be full days for high schools.  January 26 continues to be a half day for all levels.
