• Welcome to Wilderness Elementary School…home of the wildcats!

Wilderness Elementary is proud to partner with our military families to provide the best possible transitions into our school. It is our hope and desire to make any transition as smooth as possible. Our school counselor and our dedicated staff are instrumental in helping support this transition.

It is our desire to strengthen our commitment to supporting our military-connected students. Throughout the school year, we recognize and celebrate our active and retired military families for their commitments and sacrifices to our country. Each school year, we have a Veteran’s Day program in November and in May, we have a Memorial Day Observance. Both of these programs support and recognize our military families.  In addition, throughout the school year, we have opportunities to highlight our military families through various class activities. We work closely with the Military School Liaison Officer from Quantico, VA to support our students and families that may be facing deployment or other areas of need.  The Military School Liaison Officer at Quantico may be accessed at School Liaison Program. They have an abundance of resources available to support our military families and especially our military kids!

Dianne Holmes, Principal, is the school-based military student point of contact and Tori Elliott, counselor, is the school-based student transition team coordinator.  They may be reached at 540-786-9817 or via email at dholmes@spotsylvania.k12.va.us or velliott@spotsylvania.k12.va.us. Please reach out to either of them if you need anything at all.
