REMINDER ABOUT TARDIES
Due to the number of students who are tardy to school and classes at Chancellor Middle School, teachers and administrators will, at this time, be monitoring the halls. Students who are consistently tardy to school and classes will not be allowed to participate in extracurricular or fun activities at Chancellor Middle School.

Chancellor Middle School Career Day
Chancellor Middle School will be hosting a Career Day on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. The purpose of this event is to expose students to the wide variety of careers available to them. In order for this event to be a success we need YOU! Career Day participants will have a table to set up displays, handouts, posters, or other materials. Students will be walking from table to table interacting with our career day volunteers. Spring Orchestra Concert will be May 17th at 7 PM. All the Orchestra's 6th - 12th will be performing with several finale numbers at the end (for all string students).

Spring Sports Tryouts - Monday, March 27th, 2017 - 3-5 PM
All students trying out for a spring sport MUST have an updated Physical and Concussion Training Form on file with CMS. Please make sure that you have both by the first day of tryouts, as well as all pages completed on your child's physical. Students will NOT be able to tryout until all forms are completed and turned in.
When dropping your student off in the morning, please make sure to pull up as far as you can on the circle to let your child(ren) out.
The latest time to make any transportation changes, which need to be in writing is 2:35 P.M.
If your child is absent, please send him/her with a note on their return as to why they were absent. If a student comes in tardy or leaves school early and does not return, this will go against their perfect attendance. Any questions please call Mrs. Champ at 540-786-8099 ext. 6102

Chancellor Middle School will be piloting a new class schedule for 2016-17 school year. The current 90 minute block schedule will be replaced with a 6 period 60 minute schedule. This year-long pilot will explore the benefits of having the 4 core areas of Math, English, Science and Social Studies daily and allow for more elective options. Click the headline for more details.
