Riverview Elementary Mission Statement
Our mission at Riverview Elementary School is to form a partnership in education among students, staff, parents, and the community. We will provide a positive, safe, and healthy atmosphere in which each child's intellectual, physical, and social development will be supported and valued. Children will be empowered to become adaptable and productive life-long learners, capable of meeting the challenges of tomorrow.

Kindergarten Registration:

Kindergarten registration is open for the 2013-2014 school year. For requirements and to get started click here.

Kindergarten Round-up: Rising Kindergartens are invited to join us at Riverview for a one hour "Round-up". This is an opportunity for you to come and learn about the school, meet the principal and participate in a variety of activities. Four different sessions are planned for your convenience. Please call to confirm the best time for you and your child to come meet us. Fifteen to 20 students will be scheduled for each session on a first call basis at 540-582-7617. You may also email session preference to Lisa Edson at ledson@spotsylvania.k12.va.us. Summer office hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Please choose one of the following sessions:

July 16: 1:00pm - 2:00pm (Session 1)
3:00pm - 4:00pm (Session 2)

August 14: 9:00am - 10:00am (Session 3)
11:00am - 12:00pm (Session 4)

		Volunteers
School Volunteers Volunteers at Riverview Elementary are encouraged and welcomed. Activities in which volunteers have been involved include the following: * Assist with educational field trips * Assist in special activities or programs * Assist in the school library * Serve as a resource person by sharing special skills, talents and interests * Assist teachers in a variety of ways * Assist in our school-wide Publishing Center * Support our school PTO All School Volunteers are required to complete a Spotsylvania County Schools Volunteer Form and return to Mrs. Holmes, Principal. Volunteer forms are available in the office or download School Volunteer Form here.
