Alexis Coles Wins Silver

Alexis Coles Wins Silver
FCCLA member Alexis Coles, a rising senior at Riverbend High School, was awarded a silver medal for her excellent work at the 2015 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. Alexis presented and explained to a panel of judges her project “Teach and Train” in which she prepared and taught an original lesson to kindergarten students, shadowed a kindergarten teacher, and evaluated the experience
At the conference, whose theme was “Together We Are Healthy,” FCCLA students from across the country attended workshops, break-out sessions, competed in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events, met new people, and expanded their leadership potential.
Her advisor at RHS is Miriam Sodergren.
