• >>The RHS FFA is collecting filled shoes boxes for the Spotsylvania County Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) Program now through December 5th. The following items are sought to help fill these boxes:
    • hat, scarf, and gloves
    • a small toy
    • a toothbrush  and toothpaste
    • a coloring book and crayons

  • >> If you are passionate about the study of foreign language and foreign Cultures, the U.S. Department of State announces merit-based scholarships for American high school students to study abroad:
    • The National Security Language Initiative for Youth offers opportunities to study one of seven critical foreign languages: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Korean, Persian (Tajiki), Russian, and Turkish. 
    • The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Abroad Program offers opportunities to spend an academic year in countries that may include Bosnia & Herzegovina, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mali, Morocco, Oman, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Tunisia, and Turkey.
    • The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program offers opportunities to spend an academic year in Germany.
