    • Friday, Sept. 26: GAME DAY! Come in and cool off before or after the game. SweetFrog closes at 11:00 PM for your convenience!

  • Tickets for the Honecoming Dance will be sold for $15 per person during all lunch shifts from Monday, Sept. 22 - Friday, Sept. 26.  No tickets will be sold after the conclusion of third lunch on Friday, Sept 26.  All students must be debt free to purchase tickets.
  • Any student planning on bringing a non-Riverbend student to the Homecoming Dance must pick up, complete, and submit a Homecoming Dance Guest Form to Mrs. Rogucki in the main office. These forms are beige and can be found on the counter in the main office. Forms must be submitted no later than Friday, September 26 at 8:00 AM.  Don't wait until the last minute!

SweetFrog Teams with Field Hockey in FUNdraiser

The team's efforts over three days rewarded them with a check for $479.89!

Michael Donato Attends Boys Nation

Michael Donato is the first student from Riverbend High School and Spotsylvania County selected to attend the American Legion's Boys Nation.  This summer, Michael was one of two students chosen, out of over 700 in attendance at Virginia Boys State, to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia at Boys Nation.  He also won a $1000 scholarship.  At Boys Nation, he met President Obama and other elected officials and worked with fellow Boys Nation delegates from across the country to pass legislation on a variety of topics. 

Grace McIntire Wins Best in Show at Nationals

Grace McIntire won Best-in-Show in her Dramatic Interpretation performance in July at the National Junior Classical League Convention on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta. This makes her Riverbend High School's very first national champion for Latin at this event!

FCCLA Members Win Awards

FCCLA members display medals

Congratulations to Graduate Madison Schwarzmann, Senior Chantel Hardy and Senior Nicole Shannon.  These three ladies attended the National Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Competition in San Antonio, TX in July.  Madison Schwarzmann earned a Gold Medal in the “Teach and Train” event. The focus of her project was to  research the developmental needs of children and then create lesson plans to be implemented in an actual classroom setting.  Chantel Hardy and Nicole Shannon earned a Gold Medal in the “Chapter in Review Display” category.  This event highlights various RHS chapter activities such as leadership, community service, membership recognition, recruitment, and social activities.
