  • On Friday, January 29th, the long wait was finally over and RE Lee's "One School, One Book" selection was revealed! Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White is the book that all RE Lee families will be reading together for the next several weeks! Students and staff gathered in the gymnasium that day to hear the first two chapters read aloud and were treated to several trumpet solos.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

Due to forecasted winter weather, all Spotsylvania County Public Schools after-school and evening activities for
Friday, February 12, 2016 are canceled.

The school board amended their agenda at the February 8 school board meeting in response to a request from the director of election & general registrar to close schools for students on March 1, 2016, due to anticipated greater voter turnout for the primary election.  The school board considered and approved this request.  The school board has designated March 1, 2016, as a student holiday and will now be a teacher professional learning day.  To make up for the loss of instruction, the two half days (March 11 and April 22) will now be full days.

The SAT scheduled for Saturday, January 23 at Massaponax High School has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 20 at Massaponax High School.  Please note: the test administered will be the old version of the SAT.

The Make-up Day for January 25, 2016 will be on February 15, 2016.  It will be an "A" day for middle and high schools.
