We will be having our monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 21st from 3 until 4:30 in Ms. Greene's room.  We will be making Cajun food in celebration of Mardi Gras.  Parent notes are available all week on Mrs. Marshall's door and are due back by Friday of this week.  Hope to see you there!

We need your support. Join us Wednesday, February 29th from 3-5 p.m. for the 6th Annual Staff vs. Student Charity Basketball game. Tickets will be on sale for $3 during home room February 21st-28th. Students staying after for the game MUST have their ticket signed by a parent/guardian and a ride home at 5 p.m.  Tickets will be sold for $3 at the game to parents and/or students accompanied by an adult.  Concession snacks will also be sold. All proceeds benefit Mended Little Hearts (http://www.mendedlittlehearts.org).

Love Elephants are now sold out, BUT you still have a chance to show that special someone you care!  Instead of waiting until next week, SCA and NJHS will begin selling Love Beads TOMORROW during homeroom.  Love Beads will be sold 2 for $1.00 while supplies last.  Valentine's Day is Tuesday, so don't procrastinate!

Summer Enrichment Program

The University of Virginia Curry School of Education will be offering a Summer Enrichment Program which will focus on meeting both the cognitive and affective needs of gifted and/or high ability learners while fostering a passion for lifelong learning and leadership.  This program will serve students currently enrolled in 4th-10th grade.  If interested, stop by the counseling office to learn more about the program and to pick up a flyer with online application directions.  The online application deadline is February 15, 2012. 

All 8th graders applying for the Commonwealth Governor's School need to meet with Ms. Fulwider during lunch this Thursday, February 9^th in room 217.  It is mandatory that you be there!

Those 8th graders interested in applying for the Commonwealth Governor's School need to see Ms. Fulwider in room 217 for an application.  It is MANDATORY that you see her in order to apply.  Applications are due February 14th to Ms. Fulwider.
