All Track uniforms/equipment must be returned to your coach by Friday, May 18^th.  Any student who does not return their uniform/equipment by the 18^th will be placed on the Debt List.

All Boy’s Soccer & Softball uniforms/equipment must be returned by Wednesday, May 23^rd to your respective coaches.  Any student who does not return their uniform/equipment by the 18^th will be placed on the Debt List.

The Boy’s Soccer Tournament is this Saturday, May 19^th at Post Oak Middle.  Admission is $5.00 per person.

The Girl’s Softball Tournament is this Saturday, May 19^th at Spotsylvania Middle School.  Admission is $5.00 per person.

Students that were on a Freedom Middle School Athletic team, you, your family, and friends are invited to attend the athletic banquet on May 22^nd at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.  We will be recognizing each team, each team member, as well as individual accomplishments.  The 2011-2012 Male and Female athlete of the year will also be crowned! We hope to see everyone there!

Red and Black Out Game

May 23rd from 3:00-4:30 here at the Freedom Field, We will be having our annual "Red and Black Out" game this year within our own school. 

The girls soccer team has challenged the boys soccer team. 

Miss Kleinert has accepted the head coaching position for the boys team, while Mrs. Shamble has accepted the head coaching position for the girls team. 

Mrs. Dane and her singing troupe will be providing the national anthem, while the PTA will be hosting the half time experience.  Tickets will be sold the day of the game for $3.00.  All students staying for the game will need to have written permission for their parent or guardian and a ride home at 4:30PM.  Concessions will be available for purchase.

SMS Athletic Department is hosting an athletic physical night for anyone who needs a sports physical for the 2012-13 athletic seasons on Wednesday, May 23^rd from 5:30 – 9:00 P.M. 

Attention Rising 8th Graders

There will be a Career Exploration Summer Camp offered at Germanna Community College, Fredericksburg Campus, from June 11-15, 2012.  Students will learn about their interests and abilities and how these relate to a career.  Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the variety of career opportunities available and the importance of early career planning.  If interested, please ask your school counselor for a camp information sheet and application.  Completed applications have to be turned in to your school counselor no later than May 25.  Spaces are limited.
